5 ways to help your skin look healthy and glowing in summers

Summer is the best time of the year, as you can finally wear your comfortable T-shirts and comfy flip-flops and not sweaters/jackets. But taking care of your skin in these months can give you a hard time. The blistering sun and the unbearable heat can cause many skin related problems.

Summer months can be really inconvenient and for which a new set of routine should be followed. Having a consistent routine always helps to replenish the radiance of your skin.

This is how you can take care of your skin in such excruciating heat.

Exfoliating your skin

This is the first step for glowing skin in summers is exfoliation, as it helps to remove the dead cell layers from the skin. Using home remedies like coconut oil and sugar once in every five to seven days can cleanse your face and neck naturally. Gently rub this mixture on your face, neck, arms and legs (mostly the exposed areas) for 40-60 seconds and rinse it with lukewarm water.

Use the right Sunscreen

The blazing sun and the UV rays can be harmful for your skin especially for people who have sensitive skin. It can lead to rashes, unbearable itchiness and red patches. Choosing the right sunscreen is an important factor for skin care in summer. The basic SPF 30 can do the work, apply it 15-20 minutes before leaving for your job.

Wear the right clothes

Choose the right fabric for your skin. Breathable cotton works best in summers. Try to avoid synthetic fabrics as they cause rashes and itchy skin. Comfortable formal clothing comes with so many bright and beautiful options these days.

Eat Healthy

Hydrating yourself the entire day is important for skin care in summers. We easily drain our fluids and replenishing them becomes fundamental. Include juicy fruits in your diet like mangoes, water melon, musk melon and lychee. Try replacing Tea and coffee with fruity mojitos and cool non-beverage drinks at office or home.

Night skin care routine

Putting a little more effort in the end of the day can really fetch you results. Same applies to skincare in summers. Following a skin care routine is essential for a glowing skin and applying the right and soothing moisturiser at night helps to rejuvenate your skin. Remove all the makeup, cleanse your face with a face wash. And gently apply your moisturiser and voila.

Have a happy summer ladies!
